Character and Fitness
Review your Character & Fitness information on your law school application:
It is likely that you will be required to submit a copy of your law school application to the state bar authorities when you apply to take the bar examination during your second or third year of law school. The bar authorities will compare your law school application to the answers that you give on your application to take the bar.If the answers do not match, there could be serious implications for your bar admission. Please make sure NOW that everything you have reported to us regarding disciplinary actions and criminal charges (including traffic infractions) is completely accurate. If you applied electronically through LSAC.org, you can still see your application on-line.
If you have any doubts about the information in your application, please take steps now to run a criminal records or DMV check. If you find any discrepancies, you must send a written application amendment to the Associate Dean for Students prior to enrollment. Your amendment should give details regarding any infractions or disciplinary issues that you failed to disclose on your original application.
