Eligibility for Study Abroad
Wake Forest Students
Wake Forest students must have completed the first year of law school in good standing. Any student who does not have a 73 or above average at the end of the first semester will be ineligible to attend a foreign summer program. Moreover, any student with a cumulative grade point average below 73 at the end of the first year is ineligible to continue in the Law School, including in summer courses. Each comparative law course is 3 credit hours.
Wake Forest students may apply for any of the three programs, but may enroll only in the London program during May/June and either the Venice or Vienna program during July.
Law students from other law schools
Law students from other law schools who have completed the first or second year and are in good standing with their law school are eligible to apply only for our programs in Venice or Vienna during July. There is limited enrollment in each program, and we will review applications on a first-come, first-served basis. For non-Wake Forest students, course credit is available only on a pass/fail basis.
